We tried our first pizza in 2021, but it was soggy with an unpleasant processed ham. So it put us off for a while. Last night we thought we'd give it another try since it's under new ownership. Unfortunately it was the same outcome. The description on the menu said parma ham was included. Don't know what was used, but it's most definitely not parma ham. It was a weird mushy "meat", similar to soggy bread. We did our best to remove it. It ruined the pizza for us.
The description on the menu should be changed to what the mystery meat is or actually use real parma ham.
It's a shame, we were looking forward to having a go to place in town for pizza.

Food was good. Salad seemed fresh and the pizza was nice; although slightly smaller and underwhelming when compared to the photos on the website.

Place was cold though and drafts through the window.

The female server/owner (think name was 'Mill'), we thought was friendly and kind at first, however soon made us feel very uncomfortable by going on a rant about their turbulent past and how the teaching of history in England is appalling. We tried to steer the conversation to something lighter, but it turned back to personal opinions and felt quite aggressive and uncalled for. It's a real shame because this was our first visit and left a sour taste as it was very awkward.

Mixed feelings, but I wish the restaurant, owner and staff all the best.

Fantastic food, great service and huge portions all in a lovely setting. Nothing was too much trouble and the table was dressed beautifully, particularly as we were a group of 16. Highly recommend!

Second visit in a month on an evening drive back from the airport. Booked in advance but was not full. Nice atmosphere and decor. Prices reasonable . I had the king prawns with garlic but a major for me was far too much chili. But the portion was large.Extra bread was offered A garlic bread starter was ok. The bruschetta was ok. I had la dolce pizza which was awesome. My partner claimed that the risotto had chili in it . Weird. The other pizzas were good.
Four people. Four starters and main £90. Two Desserts. No alcohol. One cup of tea ( the pot was less than half full and barely gave a full cup, it wouldn't have been much to fill the tea pot !) Hope the owners read this. It was the little things that spoilt it. But will be back for the pizza ?.

Fue un día de sol el que llegue a La Dulce Piazza decidí sentarme en terraza que tienen el restaurante en la parte de atrás, los camareros fueron más que amables, atentos , simpáticos, hospitalarios.. comi unos aperitivos aceitunas y picos una lasaña de plato principal y una tarta de queso riquísima...? muchas gracias por todo

The food was very good and I really enjoyed it. Waiting staff were blunt and one was wearing a durex condoms T-shirt, really didn't think this was appropriate if children where to come in. After finishing dinner my partner had eaten 90% of her food and really enjoyed it but the portion was large (which again isn't a problem). The owner then came over to ask "whose is this?" And stated she couldn't just bin the remainder and continued to push her when she said how nice the food was but she was full.
When my sister ordered a rose wine she was told the wine was "sub par" which was strange response. When the food came out the cutlery was basically thrown at us and we had to hand the plates out ourselves as it was dumped on the table. But again the food tasted really good!

The coffee is perfectly acceptable and the service is always friendly. The chairs are not the most comfortable in the world but are fine for short visits. The café is on two levels. The loo is on the higher level and this might present a problem for those with mobility issues. In addition there is no car park so it may be necessary to walk some distance. I have often found the range of cakes to be rather disappointing and on my last two visits did not have a cake, rather unusual for me. The cafe is not spacious and in hot weather it can be rather too warm. It is possible to sit outside. Although this review is not gushing I do choose to have coffee at La Doce
